Meet Akhil Vats, MD our Family Medicine physician here at Merak Health! He graduated from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and completed his residency at West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh. He has been practicing medicine for the last tenyears, providing his community the care and respect they deserve.

Dr. Vats understands that each patient is different, unique in their own way, and thattreatment plans will vary to meet the needs of his patients. He is dedicated to taking the time to build trust with each patient, and to ensure all their needs are met with theutmost care.

Tatianna Abeni, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Meet Tatianna Abeni, our Family Nurse Practitioner here at Merak Health! Tatianna is exceptionally hard-working, patient, and kind. She earned her Nursing degree at Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She started her nursing career at one of DFW’s best trauma centers, working in the critical care unit before she traveled the country working as a nurse in six different states. Tatianna recently graduated with honors from Baylor University with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being in nature, and traveling around the world.

Tatianna understands that being able to serve the people who live in our communities, is the greatest benefit to being in the medical field. She believes in developing a strong relationship to provide personalized care that is tailored to each patient's specific needs. She aspires to empower the families of this community with the ability to maintain better healthcare.

Brianna, Office Manager

Meet Brianna, our office manager! She was born and raised in Kansas City, but Texas has been her home for the past 8 years. In addition to handling her daily office administrator duties, she also manages our social media platforms and marketing.

Brianna is considered to be the glue that keeps our office together. Her strength in organization, teamwork, and communication ensures that every patient's and team member’s needs are met and handled in an appropriate manner. It is very important to us that all relationships in the office remain healthy and efficient to guarantee that patients are coming into a professional environment.

Morgan, Receptionist

Meet our front desk receptionist, Morgan! She is a newcomer to Texas, a long way from her hometown in Maryland. She is a bright and enthusiastic team member who has quickly become a part of our Rockwall community.

Not only that, but she will be the first face you see when arriving at our office and the voice you will hear when calling, please give her a warm Texas welcome! Morgan looks forward to assisting and getting to know each individual that joins Merak Health. Her cheerful spirit and patience ensure that patients, and their loved ones, get the finest experience during each and every visit.

Megan, Medical Assistant

Megan is a new team member to our Fort Worth location, and she is excited to welcome new and returning patients to the office. As Medical Assistant, Megan works to facilitate patient-provider communication and improve patient access to care. She is a pre-nursing student with healthcare experience in both emergency and family medicine settings. Megan believes in the importance of health as a foundation for the rest of your life, and is proud to be a member of a team that values individualized, compassionate care. Outside of the office, Megan can usually be found studying for class or enjoying a long bike ride on the Trinity Trails.
